Since the early 1900’s, the Attanasio family has been associated with concrete and swimming pools. In a span of over 100 years from Italy to the United States, swimming pools and decorative concrete runs in the family.
First with Cosimo Attanasio, in the early 1900’s in Naples, Italy. Cosimo then passed his skills down to his son John, who came to the United States and settled first in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he passed his skills to his sons, Mario, Vincent, Frank, Angelo and Louie.
After settling in Schenectady, New York, the Attanasio’s began a long career of concrete masonry and swimming pools, which continues today.
Mario and Vincent began installing in-ground pools in the late 1960’s and incorporated concrete masonry into their pool designs. The two then passed their craft to Dean, who at a very early age learned the masonry and swimming pool trade.
The strong values Dean learned from his father Vincent, and his Uncle Mario has lasted through Dean’s career. He has built thousands of in-ground pools and poured thousands of yards of concrete throughout a 45 year career. Dean has now also passed down his skills to his son Nick, daughter Erica, and grandson Abel, who are co-owners of Caribbean Pools, along with Brianna and Alana Attanasio.
Through Erica and Nick’s leadership, the Attanasio family has expanded their horizons to all the newest types of swimming pools and masonry. This includes stamped concrete, colored concrete, concrete pavers, retaining walls, garage floors, driveways, decks, patio’s, stone masonry and all types of cantilever concrete work. We also do all type of complete swimming pool and masonry renovation work which includes concrete staining and spraying thin concrete over existing old concrete to make it look new and modern.
We also specialize in paver renovation. We can overlay pavers and coping for a permanent enhancement to your swimming pool and property.
